The G9 and the G8 are both curved OLED monitors designed for gaming, but the Samsung Odyssey G9 Curved Gaming Monitor has a much bigger screen size of 49 inches, while the G8 has a 34-inch screen. The G9 also has a better resolution of 5120 x 1440 and a wider aspect ratio of 32:9. The G9’s refresh rate is 240Hz, which means it can reduce or eliminate any lag between inputs and on-screen actions.

Multitasking and Auto Brightness

The G9’s wide screen allows it to function as either a single large monitor or as two side-by-side screens for multitasking. Samsung also claims that its AI upscaling technology can analyze and adjust the brightness and contrast to deliver the best possible images without the need for manual adjustments.

Versatile Connectivity Options

The Odyssey G9 has two USB-C ports on the back for output and one USB-C port for input to connect various accessories and devices.
