Samsung Galaxy smartphone users can look forward to the next big update – One UI 6.0. Selected flagship devices will have the opportunity for early access to this new software. With One UI 6, Galaxy smartphones and tablets will receive Android 14. The official rollout is scheduled for later this year.
In February, Google began developing Android 14 and started its public beta program in April. However, Samsung is not taking part in Google’s Android Beta testing. The Galaxy maker has its own One UI Beta program that operates independently.
The official launch of Android v14 is set for August 2023. Samsung is expected to begin early access to One UI 6.0 for Galaxy devices around the same time. The first devices to receive access to the One UI 6.0 beta program may be the Galaxy S23 series and the upcoming Galaxy foldable Devices.

At the August Unpacked event, Samsung will reveal the next iteration of One UI – One UI 5.1.1. This new software will be based on Android 13 and will include tweaks and enhancements for multitasking on large-screen devices.
Later in the year, Samsung will release One UI 6.0 for Galaxy devices, based on Android 14. Samsung is expected to spend around three months testing, adapting, and optimizing the new OS for Galaxy devices. The release of One UI 6.0 is anticipated to start in early October 2023.
